Want to play a sport and meet new people while you’re in Denmark?

Joining a Danish sports club is a great way to meet people from your area. Sports clubs are a good place to meet people while being physically active and having fun.

If you’re interested in joining a club but don’t know how to get started, sports association DGI can help with its free SportsGuides for newcomers and expats in Denmark.

DGI’s SportsGuides are ready to guide you!

What is a SportsGuide?

  • Your own personal guide to sports clubs near you
  • A Dane who would like to introduce you to a sports club in your area (football, swimming, running, volleyball, basketball … whatever interests you)
  • A Dane who can help find the right club for you
  • Someone to help you get to know Denmark and the Danes

DGI also offers networking activities where you can have fun and be active with SportsGuides and other expats.

Have accompanying family members? DGI SportsGuides can also help them find a club or activity that suits their interests.
